Banco de la República (the Central Bank of Colombia) at the Global Money Week (GMW) 2025
Banco de la República invites children and young people from across the country to participate in Global Money Week (GMW) with economic education activities designed to encourage informed and conscious financial decision-making. Banrep will host various activities aimed at raising awareness about the importance of acquiring financial knowledge from an early age, developing the skills and attitudes necessary for responsible money management.
Under this year’s official GMW theme, “Think before you follow, wise money tomorrow,” Banco de la República has scheduled free online and on-site activities throughout the week. These include workshops, forums, fun and educational talks, games, crafts, and interactive exhibits, which will also engage teachers and parents or guardians. Learn how to participate.
On March 18, Banco de la República will host the event at its Cultural Center in Cali, welcoming various organizations joining GMW with educational activities aimed at promoting financial well-being for younger generations. These include the Ministry of Education, Fasecolda (Colombian Insurers Association), the Financial Superintendency of Colombia, Fundación Plan, and Banca de las Oportunidades, among others.

Travel back in time to understand the importance of saving both money and natural resources for present and future well-being. - Online Talk: “What can we do to stop Prices from Rising so high?” (Only in Spanish)
Together with high school seniors, experience one of the causes of inflation firsthand and make decisions as agents in the economic system to keep inflation low and stable.
