Sixteen of Banco de la República’s books will be included in the Web of Science Book Citation Index

Following a request from the Centro de Apoyo a la Investigación Económica (Center for Economic Research Support) (CAIE), the Web of Science confirmed the acceptance and indexing of 16 books published by Banco de la República and submitted to the Book Citation Index starting in the second half of this year. This index is the one with the highest international impact on academic books and covers more than 30,000 books published since 2005.

The Center for Economic Research Support had, as of the beginning of 2020, submitted the books published in the last 5 years by the Technical Division of Banco de la República to the validation process that would guarantee their academic relevance and to an evaluation of their compliance with rigorous selection criteria by a committee of experts defined by the Book Citation Index.

This inclusion in the index has given worldwide exposure to the Banco de la República's academic production. Learn about the titles that underwent the academic and editorial validation process:
