Advanced Course in Economics for Professors (CAEP in Spanish)
General Objective
The objective of this course is to provide the attendees with a high-level academic space, to study in depth advanced topics in macroeconomics, microeconomics, and econometrics. Moreover, it aims to promote the transmission of knowledge from those attending the course to students and other professors from the schools where they belong. As an additional benefit, participants can have academic spaces where Bank’s technical team members share with the attendees studies that are useful for the Central Bank in its decision-making process. Furthermore, it seeks to build a relationship among colleagues from different universities in order to create contact networks that foster academic excellence and quality research, in addition to the exchange of pedagogical experiences with the participants and the Central Bank's technical team.
Overview
- University professors with a master’s degree or currently enrolled in a master’s program.
- Minimum 10 and maximum 35 professors.
- Four-week course.
- The course is free of charge for professors.
- Professors must be nominated by their School dean in order to enroll in.
- Only one professor per educational institution is admitted. She/he must comply with the published requirements.
- A professor who has already participated in the course may be able to participate again in accordance with the conditions.
- The professor must meet the course schedule, as well as attend the proposed exams and workshops.
- The Central Bank reserves the right of admission and permanence of professors in accordance with their commitment, respect, and compliance with the Central Bank’s regulations and its facilities.
- At the beginning and at the end of the course, the attendees must take an entrance exam and a final exam, respectively.
