Juan Sebastián Rojas

Juan Sebastián is Chief Officer for Risk Management since April 2023 and is responsible for managing the Bank’s cross-cutting financial and non-financial risks. He joined the institution in 2002 and has since served as Head and Director of Markets Development at the Operations and Financial Markets Analysis Department, Senior Economist and Leading Analyst at the Foreign Reserves and Investment Department, among others. He has extensive experience in the design and implementation of monetary and foreign exchange operations, economic and financial market research, derivatives market analysis, and foreign exchange regulation. He has a specialized background in capital markets with an emphasis on the analysis and structuring of financial products, portfolio management, and risk management. In addition, Juan Sebastián has worked with institutions such as the International Monetary Fund providing technical support to other central banks and has served as professor at Universidad de los Andes, Universidad del Rosario, and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
