Macroeconomics and Central Banking Online Course

Banco de la República (the Central Bank of Colombia) and the Network of Researchers in Economics of the Central Bank provide a Macroeconomics and Central Banking Online Course focused on transmitting and strengthening Colombian people’s knowledge of these subjects. It is a virtual program of open access, self-hosted, and addressed to public interested in learning about subjects related to monetary policy and central banking. A first-level team of Bank executives and officers with a broad teaching experience participates in this project.  

This Course is a contribution for knowledge development in the country, whose main goal is to promote the understanding of basic terms in macroeconomics, and monetary, exchange and debt policies among the Colombian population. The Course has the following modules:

  • Economic Activity Indicators.
  • Costs of Living Indicators.
  • Monetary System.
  • Central Banks and Monetary Policy.
  • Demand for Money, Inflation, and Hyperinflation.
  • Foreign Exchange and Arbitrage.

This virtual program is constantly available on an educational platform so that interested audiences can take it at any time, regardless of their knowledge level, field, or geographical location.
