Stock Market
The COLCAP index reflects the price changes for the 20 most liquid stocks at the Bolsa de Valores de Colombia (Colombia’s stock exchange), where the Adjusted Market Capitalization for each stock determines its participation in the index. The COLCAP’s initial value is 1000 points at the 15th of January 2008.
As of November 1st 2013, the COLCAP replaced the IGBC as the main index for the Colombian stock market.
Note: The COLCAP index data published on the 9th of January 2019 was a provisional data. Therefore, shortly before midday on January 10th 2019 the data was replaced by the COLCAP for that date (9th of January 2019)
